From the Configuration Window, you click on 'Telescope Control' (2nd from the bottom of the left hand side pane). Next thing (which I just checked by opening Stellarium), was to open the configuration Window (F2). Can't remember exactly but as I recall now, running StellariumScope modified Stellarium to allow control of my EXOS2 (or other mounts?)? What I needed back then was something called StellariumScope. I heard 6 months ago or so that Stellarium was going to (or has) implement in a later version (than the one I have been using). One, this is from memory from 2 years ago. Just been thinking about this after replying to someone about doing this with an EXOS2-GT.
So, is this function of entering the information necessary to control a telescope only available in Stellarium after the telescope has been aligned and then connected to the laptop?Īlso, if anyone knows of a site with good written step-by-step instructions on how to connect and enter everything I would appreciate it. After watching a couple of Youtube videos my brain hurts, so I thought I would reach out and see if I can get some help here. I have an EXOS2GT (late 2018 model not the PMC-8) and have purchased the adapter cable to connect between the hand controller and the laptop but I have not tried to connect it yet. I want to start controlling my telescope using my laptop and Stellarium because I find using the hand controller cumbersome for selecting objects. I have been visually observing and doing limited astrophotography for three years but I am starting from scratch in terms of knowledge and the software necessary to connect my computer to Setllarium to actually control it, so please help if you can.
